What coffee lovers can do to help

Dear Friend,

We have been amazed at the support for our initiative of many coffee lovers around the world so far and hope that you will be able to help us with the following actions that could really help our work sustain the momentum we have managed to build.

1. Help us to identify Ethiopia's Fine Coffee Distributors and Retailers Around the World

We are actively contacting coffee companies around the world who buy, roast and promote Sidamo, Harar (sometimes spelled Harrar) and Yirgacheffe coffees. In almost every coffee consuming country there is at least a handful of high quality roasted coffee products available on the shelves or being served in coffee shops and cafes that especially feature these fine, heritage coffees from Ethiopia.

You can help us identify who Ethiopia's fine coffee distributors are.

Wherever you are in the world, please write and tell us about coffee products that you have seen on your local coffee shop or supermarket shelves which especially feature one of these three coffees.

The information we need to know is:

Once you have gathered this information, please send it to: licensing@ethiopiancoffeenetwork.com

2. Tell your local retailer of Ethiopia's fine coffees about the Initiative

The Ethiopian Coffee Trademarking and Licensing initiative has received a very large amount of coverage in the media, mainly because of Starbucks efforts to stop Ethiopia's efforts to trademark and license its coffees (see 'In the media section'), but we are sure that many people in the coffee trade have not heard in depth about it.

You can help us direct coffee companies to this website so that they can get in the picture!

Hearing from you means they will become aware that you are one step ahead of them and that you, one of their customers, have an expectation that they will join the network of licensed distributors and work with Ethiopia to achieve its aspirations and goals!

We have prepared a letter from the Licensing Management Team for you to download and print which can be handed in to your nearest coffee shop or supermarket customer service manager or emailed or faxed to the coffee company which produces and supplies the product.

Thank you so very much,
