Highland Coffee is a small and friendly coffee roasting business based near Crieff in Perthshire, Scotland. The business was founded by Sarah Sherlock, who personally oversees the entire operation - from selecting and ordering sacks of 'green' coffee beans right through to the packaging and despatch of beautifully presented bags of roasted coffee.
The roastery is in the stable block of a local castle. Here beans are stored in dry, cool conditions and do fresh roasts each day in response to customer orders.
The 12-kilo Probat roaster is powered by gas - giving an odour-free heat - and the combination of pure Scottish air and the finest beans gives a unique and delicious flavour to each roast.
Highland Coffee aims to buy in coffees which stand alone in the cup - that way customers can get to know the characteristics of each country's coffees. The company always promotes the best beans - not only to give customers excellent coffee but also to encourage good prices for quality beans from the producers.
